Have you ever found yourself saying, “That dude’s hair isn’t just messy, it’s uncombable?” Well that’s very insensitive of you. He might be a victim of the little known Uncombable Hair Syndrome. Guys like that must hate people like me… my hair is perfectly combable, but I haven’t combed it in 15 years.
I guess we’ve got scientists working on all sorts of things. I wonder if they get tired of telling people what they do for a living.
“I work for Globobionetcorp, we’re working on a hair gel that will cure Uncombable Hair Syndrome.”
“Uncombable Hair Syndrome???”
“Yes… It’s quite similar to and often confused with familial tricho-odonto-onchyial ectodermal dysplasia with syndactyly*. It’s actually very fascinating. We found that hair spray and mousse are completely inadequate for increasing the individual hairs’ combability factor.”
* I did not make that up. It’s a real thing!

I’m trying out a Firefox extension called Zemanta that is supposed to understand what you are writing in Wordpress and other blog software and suggest articles and images that are relevant. Apparently, what I am writing is completely incomprehensible or there is nothing on the entire Internet similar to this. It’s an early alpha version, so I’ll keep my expectations low. It sounds like the kind of tool that could be quite useful. You can find a more detailed description as well as a screencast at TechCrunch.
Yes! Zemanta has come up with some results…
Here we have a picture of a French woman having her head shaved for collaborating with the Nazis during World War II. Hmm… seems like she got off pretty easy.
It seems pretty cool. I had to fiddle with the HTML it inserted and modify the CSS to suit my tastes. But overall, I think it show a great deal of promise.
