Say… you know what’s interesting? Unusual methods of execution. I found this one a few years ago and then forgot about it. It came to mind after reading a particularly saccharine Mary Worth in the funny pages. I just can’t understand why newspapers are wasting money on this garbage. 80% of the comic strips at best don’t make me laugh, and at worst fill me with rage. We’d all be better off if they’d just replace this slop with old Far Side and Calvin & Hobbes strips.

There are a couple that I do read for a laugh as opposed to out of morbid curiosity. I enjoy F Minus almost every day and Pearls Before Swine about four out of seven days a week… mostly when they aren’t about the alligators. I used to really enjoy Dilbert, and still do once in a while, but it’s gotten a little stale for me.

Amazingly, Mary Worth has been soiling the comic pages for almost 70 years. I think it stopped being relevant (assuming it was at one time (I have my doubts)) around the time of the Battle of the Bulge. To learn more about this national treasure (ug… I just thought about Nick Cage), check out the Wikipedia article.
