For some reason, when the new TV arrived, I got the idea in my head that I could give up DirecTV and go with over the air TV. So I bought some super-cheap rabbit ears. I was happily surprised to find that I could get all the local stations in HD except one. It turns out that their HD station is in the low-VHF band which requires a specialized antenna. I thought that was dumb to I wrote them an email telling them about it. They claimed the channel was assigned to them by the FCC. I guess I believe them. In a year, it won’t matter any more because they’ll be retiring their analog station along with everyone else and moving their digital channel to their well known station number which happens to be in the UHF band.

While I was finding all this out, I discovered a large online community for over the air HD. Here is a good article on over the air HD. You can determine which stations you can tune in here.

Galatians 6:4-5
4But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5For each one shall bear his own load.
